EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERISM
ACTS (Assisting the Community Through Service) provides a means for Denver Post and MediaNews Group co-workers, along with their families and friends, to add value to the community by participating in group volunteer efforts to benefit local nonprofit agencies.
The Denver Post recognizes that as a company in Colorado it has a major responsibility to help meet the needs and satisfy the concerns of the communities of which we are a part. We believe that when we invest volunteer and financial resources in our neighborhoods, positive partnerships result, which improve the quality of life and make communities better places to live, work and play.
Volunteer projects are selected and organized by an employee Advisory Board and involve co-workers from all areas of The Denver Post.
Last year our employees (along with their family and friends) contributed over 1,100 hours of service to the community. That's a value of more than $25,000!
