FOCUS AREAS

In an effort to achieve our mission of improving and enhancing the quality of life in our community, all of the Denver Post Community's giving programs – grants, sponsorships, signature events and volunteer efforts – focus on four primary areas:
  • ARTS & CULTURE
Arts and cultural activities inspire us and enrich our lives. They a vital part of the colorful and unique fabric of the Mile High City. Plus, they're just plain fun! We are proud to partner with many of our community's outstanding arts organizations through sponsorships and grants and volunteer efforts, in order to make performances, exhibitions and other cultural experiences meaningful and available to a wide range of people.
  • CHILDREN & YOUTH
Children deserve a chance to lead healthy, happy and productive lives. By providing opportunities and activities for children and youth to grow, we make our city strong and our future brighter. Through grants, volunteer efforts and sponsorships of youth-oriented organizations and events, we strive to ensure that young people in our community have every opportunity to succeed.
  • EDUCATION & LITERACY
Knowledge and the ability to read are essential ingredients for building a better society. Supporting programs that provide educational opportunities and literacy instruction is a key part of our mission to better the lives of those in need. Programs serving this area are supported by Denver Post Charities grants and sponsorships.
  • HUMAN SERVICES
The care and provision of basic services to those in need is an important element of Denver Post Community's mission. Through Denver Post Season To Share, a McCormick Foundation Fund, money is raised, matched and distributed to local agencies that provide food, shelter, medical care and aid to children. This program, along with other Denver Post Community activities, provides help and hope to people who need it the most.
