MCCORMICK FOUNDATION

ABOUT THE MCCORMICK FOUNDATION
The McCormick Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening our free, democratic society by investing in children, communities and country. It was established as a charitable trust in 1955, upon the death of Col. Robert R. McCormick, the longtime editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune, who believed that philanthropy and service to others strengthens the civic health of our communities.

Today, the McCormick Foundation continues McCormick’s legacy by teaming up with media outlets, such as The Denver Post, and sports teams to help solve community challenges and improve the quality of life.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY
The Denver Post works in partnership with the McCormick Foundation to raise and distribute funds throughout the metro-Denver area through Denver Post Charities and Denver Post Season To Share. To encourage donations from the public and strengthen the impact of giving, the Foundation matches all funds raised at 50 cents on the dollar. Also, the Foundation and The Denver Post absorb all campaign administrative costs, ensuring 100 percent of every dollar donated, plus matching funds, go to programs that support people in need.

As one of more than 20 McCormick Foundation business partners across the country, The Denver Post is proud to be affiliated with the Foundation and greatly appreciates the continued partnership. For more information, please visit http://www.mccormickfoundation.org.
