Congratulations to Anchor Center for Blind Children

On Monday, January 27, 2020 we welcomed award winning novelist and Poet, Michael Ondaatje to The Denver Post Pen & Podium Literary Author Series. The author of the classic, bestselling novel “The English Patient” and most recently of “Warlight,” talked about how he has used his personal life and surroundings to create some deep characters and intricate settings in his novels.

At each lecture, we are proud to recognize and present a grant to a nonprofit agency focused on literacy and education and on Monday, we welcomed Anchor Center for Blind Children, where literacy opens up a whole new world of discovery and is a central component of their early childhood education and therapeutic programming, including braille, assistive technology, and the nationally accredited “Expanded Core Curriculum” for young students with visual impairments and additional disabilities.
