Basket Of Joy Delivered to More Than 5,280 Metro Denver Seniors
On Saturday, December 10, 2016 more than 2,000 volunteers made the day a little brighter for seniors in our community through the heartwarming Basket of Joy event.
Co-founded in the early 80s by former Denver Post columnist Woody Page, Basket of Joy celebrated its 29th anniversary in 2016. Many volunteers helped pack the 5,280 baskets with fresh fruit, candy, and cards decorated by school aged children, while others delivered them to the homes of the nominated seniors across Metro Denver. We are so grateful to work alongside these partners to make this event possible: Volunteers of America, Safeway, Denver Mattress Co., and InnovAge.
