The 85th Annual Denver Post Colorado State Spelling Bee Onstage Competition is on Saturday, March 8th

Over 270 schools and districts statewide completed their local spelling competitions, and their top spellers participated in the virtual round of the Colorado State Spelling Bee on Thursday, February 20th. The top scorers of the spelling and vocabulary test have been announced and will move on to the live, onstage competition on Saturday, March 8th, at Sturm Hall on the University of Denver campus. The champion will receive an all-expense-paid trip to represent Colorado at the Scripps National Spelling Bee’s 100th Anniversary event near Washington, D.C., at the end of May.
